Project Description: 25 Variations
This project is an iterative exploration of typography through HTML and CSS. You will choose a poem and make 25 variations on that same poem, no one single representation of the poem is important. This should allow you plenty of room for visual experimentation that responds to the poem’s content. You can really push the boundaries and play around with legibility.
I selected the song “I Look Through People’s Windows” by Taylor Swift, from her “The Tortured Poet’s Department” album, for this assignment.
Process & Struggles
For this assignment I decided to save each variation and level. Starting out, this assignment was a struggle because I was confused over the amount of code for each variation. In the end, I created 125 variations of “I Look Through People’s Windows” by Taylor Swift, however, there was only 25 variations for each level and those constraints. This project became more and more fun as I completed the various levels, because I had more creative freedom. Additionally, I enjoyed being able to make a final homepage to show the work that I had done.
Final Product
My final product is very hollistic in my opinion because in seeing the progress I made through each variation you see my comfort level rise. Additionally, I was able to learn new skills that each level as I wanted to get the most out of this project. https://vtweb4ever.lol/participants/lauren_sartori/25/sartori.html
